William Oliver Swofford “OLIVER”

This channel is dedicated to the life and music of William Oliver Swofford, aka, Oliver.  William Oliver Swofford (February 22, 1945 – February 12, 2000), known professionally as Oliver, was an American pop singer, best known for his 1969 song "Good Morning Starshine" from the musical Hair as well as "Jean" (the theme from the film The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie).

Aside from his musical talents, Bill touched people with his genuinely kind and thoughtful heart; his love of music, and his infectious smile. Bill "Oliver" Swofford was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2010 but was inducted in our hearts in 1969. 

He was a true renaissance man excelling in virtually every way.  
He was a true humanitarian and the kindest, most humble man I’ve ever met.  💙
