Why Visit China

China travel, Hangzhou walking tours, Chinese history, local food, old streets, architecture, museums, markets, and everyday life — seen through the eyes of Wayne, a retired American contractor living part-time in Hangzhou, China.

Welcome to Why Visit China, a travel and history channel for English-speaking viewers who want to see China slowly, closely, and with curiosity about what might be waiting around the next corner.

I explore historic streets, local markets, traditional food, museums, cultural landmarks, quiet neighborhoods, and hidden details many visitors walk past.

Expect China walking tours, Hangzhou history, food and market visits, architecture notes, cultural travel stories, and moments from my older China and Hong Kong video archives.

Come along for the walk. You never know what small doorway, old stone path, market stall, or quiet side street might reveal.
