Whitehair Hikes

Welcome to my trail journey.

I’m David Whitehair — winemaker, thru-hiker, outdoorsman, and someone who believes that the best stories are written one mile at a time. After 20 years crafting wine and working the land, I’ve taken that same patience, grit, and respect for nature and brought it to the trail.

On this channel you’ll find real, unfiltered thru-hiking: the beauty, the struggle, the quiet moments, and the miles that change you. I share my hikes the way I live them — honest, peaceful, and full of the stuff most people never see unless they lace up and go themselves. From the Colorado Trail to future long trails like the PCT, you’ll be walking each mile right alongside me.
If you’re here for raw adventure, trail education, and the calm that only exists in the mountains, you’re in the right place.
