Walking the Talk for Dementia

Walking the Talk for Dementia(WTD) is a unique and immersive conference designed to reshape both individual and collective approaches to sharing dementia knowledge and resources, to empower people living with dementia, and to foster multi-stakeholder collaboration in care, research and advocacy. The event convenes individuals affected and inspired by dementia for a 40km walk on Santiago de Compostela's historic pilgrimage route in Spain, aiming to deepen diverse narratives and perspectives in dementia, followed by a two-day scientific symposium to consolidate reflections and form collaborations.

In 2024, we will walk towards the World Alzheimer's Month from August 25th to September 1st. Get on board and join a diverse group of scientists, clinicians, policymakers, researchers, artists, advocates, people living with dementia, and care partners as we pave the way for a brighter world for those living with dementia. Together, we can turn strides into solutions and make every step count.
