WMCC Medical Assistant Program

White Mountains Community College (WMCC) offers a nationally recognized Medical Assistant certificate that prepares students for careers in outpatient medical settings. Graduates are eligible to take the AAMA National Certification Exam to become Certified Medical Assistants (CMA). The program emphasizes professionalism, medical ethics, and team-based learning while providing comprehensive clinical and administrative training. Students learn to assist with exams and minor procedures, administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy, manage electronic medical records, collect specimens, maintain infection control, take vital signs, and handle medical billing, coding, and scheduling. The program is offered at our Littleton campus.
