Vuelta al Lago Arenal

After five years of silence, the cherished cycling event "Vuelta al Lago Arenal" seemed like a distant memory, creating a void in Tilarán county and the national cycling community. In 2022, a dedicated group of friends and brothers from Tilarán reignited their shared passion, leading to the formation of ALA EVENTOS 707. For eleven challenging months, they faced a myriad of obstacles—rigorous research, meticulous planning, threats to their personal safety, and an arduous quest for sponsors. They were supported by the local government, the Tilarán Chamber of Industry and Tourism, and the Sports Committee. The event's relaunch brought together cyclists, spectators, and the community, reaffirming the timeless importance of the "Vuelta al Lago." This remarkable experience demonstrated that unwavering passion and determination could overcome any adversity, committing to uphold the event as a proud symbol of Tilarán and Costa Rica for generations to come.
