Viking Pride Foundation - Winthrop, MA

Welcome to the Viking Pride Foundation Archives, a growing digital home for the history of Winthrop Public Schools. This collection features recordings recovered from the Winthrop Public Schools archives and converted to digital format by the Viking Pride Foundation, in cooperation with Winthrop High School, to preserve and share important pieces of Winthrop’s educational, athletic, and community history.

We are working to save decades of VHS recordings from the district’s archives by digitizing them and making them publicly available here. As this long-term project continues, you’ll find classic WHS games, performances, ceremonies, and community events that shaped generations of Vikings.

This effort is supported by alumni, volunteers, the Viking Pride Foundation, and a generous grant from the Winthrop Cultural Council and Mass Cultural Council.

Please note these videos are generations old and may contain material no longer considered appropriate today.
