Velvet Mirage Official

Heavy DarkWave.

Dark synthesizers. Heavy low end. Distant guitars. Voices caught between frequencies.

Velvet Mirage lives in the space between desire and distance.

Blending heavy darkwave, new wave, post-punk and dark synth with a distinctly cinematic edge, Velvet Mirage explores intimacy that remains just out of reach — connections interrupted by technology, circumstance, expectation, distance, and the relentless pace of modern life.

Sonically, Velvet Mirage draws from the atmosphere of Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, David Bowie, Gary Numan and Type O Negative, while pulling heavier textures into the neon melancholy of the ’80s.

Created by Bobby Cannon and Damien Sisson, Velvet Mirage is less interested in nostalgia than in using its language to tell modern stories — where screens connect us, schedules separate us, and something human keeps trying to break through the interference.
