Velena Vice

Velena Vice, born Elena Vale in 1999, grew up in a small Northern European port city with a night-shift nurse for a mother and music constantly playing at home.

Quiet, observant and obsessed with life after midnight, she began recording whispered demos as a teenager. After moving away, she worked forgettable jobs in hotels, fashion and nightlife while secretly writing the songs she actually wanted to sing.

The name Velena Vice started as a joke on the back of a Polaroid. It stuck.

She writes about desire, bad decisions, late-night messages, jealousy, loneliness and the tension between wanting to be seen and fearing people only want the image.

She likes expensive coats, cheap diners, thunderstorms and people who know when to stop talking.

Her debut single is SAY NOTHING.

SEX SELLS RECORDS.
