Universal Mindfulness Village - English

Mindfulness, or present moment awareness, is a panacea. Whatever the problem one is facing, mindfulness is the solution. Anyone can be mindful while doing anything. It is ever helpful and carries no side effects. Mindfulness emphasizes choiceless awareness; it is evenly suspended, holds no judgments of good or bad attention, and accommodates human error.

To choose the present moment awareness is to always be in the comfort zone. It is the least frictional path. When the mind is here and now, there’s no tension, no frustration, no depression, no up or down, and no story. But–we have a fear of freedom, and thus the mind often chooses anything outside of present moment awareness, pandering to what is dramatic, attractive, full of excitement and news! With this selection comes a never ending supply of tension and frustration. To select mindfulness more and more, gradually, is the way back home. Wherever you are, you are on the way back home.
