The UPPERCIRCLE Artist Collektive

The UPPERCIRCLE Artist Collektive is an Atlanta-based collective pushing the boundaries of contemporary abstraction and mixed media storytelling, rooted in Black artistic expression and cultural resilience. Featuring artists Hopeton St. Clair Hibbert, Damon Mescudi, John Glover, Darrien West, and Vando Davis, our work spans painting, collage, sculpture, photography, and new media, drawing inspiration from legends like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Romare Bearden, and Gordon Parks. We explore themes of identity, history, financial literacy, emotional complexity, and spiritual introspection, transforming personal and collective experiences into visual narratives that challenge conventional perspectives. Through exhibitions, community outreach, and interdisciplinary collaboration, we cultivate a space where art fosters critical dialogue and meaningful change. More than a collective, we are a movement—honoring the past, disrupting the present, and shaping the artistic landscape of the future.
