Life as a tow truck driver isn’t always easy. In fact, the towing industry is one of the most dangerous occupations. Operators nationwide face dangerous situations every day - From working on narrow roadside areas with close passing vehicles, to inclement weather and road conditions - We still continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the roadways are kept clear, and the flow of traffic is kept moving. Each week, a tow operator or roadside assistance specialist is injured or killed while on the roadside. Impaired, distracted and impatient drivers pose extreme risk to us - And the number of deaths continues to increase every week. In certain states, a “Slow Down, Move Over” law has been implemented to assist us while on the roadside, by requiring passing motorists to maintain a lower speed, and move over to the further most lane. This law also prohibits ticketing for motorists who fail to follow. Please do us a favor if you see us on the roadside - Slow Down, AND Move Over.
