Toberman Neighborhood Center — a cornerstone of community strength since 1903 — is a nonprofit beacon serving the Harbor Area. Founded as Toberman Settlement House by Mayor James Toberman, it holds the distinction of being Los Angeles’s oldest charity and Methodist mission on the West Coast 

Toberman Neighborhood Center empowers families and individuals in the Harbor Area of L.A. through holistic services that foster self-sufficiency, well-being, and resilience. Serving San Pedro, Harbor City, Wilmington, and beyond since 1903, Toberman offers youth development, family advocacy, gang intervention and prevention, financial assistance, and community enrichment.
