Tillson Jazz Ensemble

Focusing on the period and styles exemplified by the post bebop music of Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, and others who mixed rock and funk styles to create what is ofren called fusion while drawing on more traditional approaches as well, the TJE enjoys the interplay of small group improvisation in all its forms, and hopes to discover and develop some new ones as well. Most of all, we enjoy playing together and making sounds we all like, and sharing those sounds with whomever else might dig them.

Experience the magic of jazz, re-imagined. This dynamic ensemble, comprised of seasoned veterans delivers a captivating blend of classic standards and contemporary hits. From soulful ballads to energetic uptempo numbers, the Tillson Jazz Ensemble invites you on a musical journey that's both nostalgic and fresh. Prepare to be transported by their eclectic repertoire and the intensity of their performances.
