My name is Tamika M. Burnette, and I’m a court reporter with over 30 years of experience in the legal industry. On this channel, I will guide you step-by-step on how to become a professional scopist, which is essentially a court reporter’s assistant. Court reporters capture testimony during court proceedings, depositions, and other legal hearings. After the testimony is recorded, the scopist’s job is to carefully edit and turn that raw record into a clean, accurate, word-for-word transcript.

In this series, I’ll show you exactly how to get started, even if you have no prior experience. My goal is to help position you to earn no less than $10,000 per month as a professional scopist. With discipline and consistency, some people in this field even grow to earn $10,000 per week.
