The Focused Self

Licensed therapist helping high-achieving professionals build focus and manage anxiety without burning out.

The Focused Self is where high-achieving professionals and entrepreneurs get straight talk on focus, anxiety, and burnout — from a licensed therapist who also builds businesses.

I'm Karim, a licensed marriage and family therapist and psychology professor running a private practice for people who function well on the outside and are quietly maxed out on the inside. This channel breaks down the psychology of focus, decision fatigue, anxiety, and ADHD in high performers — no toxic positivity, just clinically grounded tools you can actually use before your next meeting.

New videos on building sustainable focus systems, managing high-functioning anxiety, and the mental models that separate burnout from real performance.
