The Wishing Cottage

It is, from the outside, a cottage. This is misleading.

Inside are mice with plans, bears with terrible ideas, peculiar creatures, enormous muddles, small triumphs, mysterious keys, runaway objects, things that really ought not to be in chimneys, and more stories than could reasonably fit inside a building of its size.

We make original bedtime stories for children aged 4–7 — some cosy, some curious, some adventurous, and some containing the sort of behaviour one hopes other people’s children will attempt first.

There are friendships and feelings, mysteries and mishaps, animals, oddballs, impossible places and the occasional spectacular piece of nonsense. Things may go wrong. Somebody may make a mess. A perfectly sensible plan may become extremely unsensible indeed.

But this is bedtime, after all.

So however far a story wanders, we bring everybody home again.
