THE WAINWRIGHT FILES

Welcome to The Wainwright Files. I’m Stephen Wainwright, an author and former healthcare and operating-theatre professional, sharing the projects, places and ideas that make up my life. Expect country walks, progress on my van conversion, travel and honest hotel and food reviews, practical projects, writing and publishing, and the occasional detour into whatever catches my interest. I’m a poet too, so each vlog opens or closes with one of my poems. My books explore two distinct subjects: The Caretaker Paradox is speculative fiction about technology, control, freedom, survival and what it means to be human; The Manual You Were Never Given offers practical autism information for parents, carers and educators.
