The SERVICE™ GLP-1 Exercise Framework

Welcome to the SERVICE™ GLP-1 Exercise Framework—an evidence-informed approach to exercise throughout the GLP-1 journey.

GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide can support weight loss, but maintaining muscle, strength, fitness, and physical function are essential for long-term health and independence.

The SERVICE™ GLP-1 Exercise Framework organizes exercise priorities into four phases:

BUILD — Build the foundation.
PRESERVE — Preserve physical capacity.
PREPARE — Prepare for what’s next.
MAINTAIN — Maintain strength, fitness, function, and independence.
