The Real Danes and Donks of Marion County

Apollo and Athena were the original Danes of Manatee County.   Steadfast companions, ever loving, bringing joy and laughs due to their daily antics.  Sadly, in early 2021, during the midst of the global pandemic, Apollo passed away suddenly and without warning at eight years of age.  This left not only his human family sad, but his fur-sister Athena (Grand Mimieux Great Danes 2017  litter) lacked the same vigor.  Seemingly aging quickly beyond her modest four years.  Despite the human’s initial reluctance to the heartbreak of the loss of yet another pet, they realized what Athena really needed was someone who spoke her own language.  In the summer of 2021, came "Merlin" (SevenHawk's 2021 Litter), bringing lots of love, chaos and laughs, followed by "River" in the summer of 2024.
