The Next Best Economist

Economics starts with choices: what people want, what they give up, and how their decisions affect everyone else.

The Next Best Economist explains incentives, prices, markets, and policy through ordinary examples, cartoons, and a little arithmetic. Start with Economics in 30 Minutes, a four-part introduction, then use the questions, supplementary materials, and AI prompts that accompany each lesson to test and extend your understanding.

Thirty minutes was the original aim of the introductory series. The four parts run about fifty minutes; allow extra time for the exercises.
