Dana Yoga Vidya: Ancestral Dreaming & Sacred Dance

Aloha Beloveds,

I am Alaya A. Dannu, EdD (aka Vamadevi Diya Dannu). As a mixed woman, author, ceremonial practitioner, and carrier of primordial memory, my work centers on Decolonizing One’s Existence using the two methodologies I pioneered:
• Cosmogenic Autoethnography: Researching oneself in relation to primordial memory, restoring continuity between self, earth, and cosmos.
• Dream-Based Scholarship: Validating ancestral dreams as primary data and evidence.

On this channel, my Video Memoirs, drawing on 25 years of my ancestral dreams, serve as examples of this decolonization process and its connection to the planetary imbalance humanity struggles to reconcile and heal.

I'm also the founder of Dana Yoga Vidya: a yoga tantra sādhana of memory and decolonial embodiment centered on Ādi Śakti Tripura Sundarī. This path restores attention to dreams as a means of realigning right relation with the Cosmos, Earth, oneself, and each other.

Sundari Ma'at,
Dr. Dannu
