The Lyre Poetic

This is verse-set-to-music in the lieder line. Schubert and Goethe; Britten and Tennyson; Loreena McKennitt and Yeats. The form is older than recorded music. Lyria Pro is a new instrument. 

Some of the verse is mine; the rest is from poets whose work is now out of copyright. I claim no equivalence.

The musical genre, the instrumentation, the tempo, the texture — all of it curated to fit what the words are doing. 

Two playlists hold the work:

Original Verse — my own poems, set to music for the first time.

Poetry Re-versed — out-of-copyright poems re-sung. 

The Poetry Re-versed competition. Each track in that playlist arrives without naming the poem or the poet. The puzzle is whether you can recognise a familiar poem through the transformation Lyria Pro and I have put it through.
