The Lost Record Collection

Some records were hits. Some records were forgotten. And some probably deserved to be. You can decide!

Welcome to The Lost Record Collection — an ever-growing archive of records that slipped through the cracks of musical history.

Here you’ll encounter forgotten singers, unlikely bands, abandoned B-sides, withdrawn releases, misplaced master tapes and recordings whose stories have become decidedly unreliable over the years.

Some are funny. Some are strange. Some may be surprisingly beautiful. And not everything in the Archive is quite what it seems.

The Archive needs you. If you remember one of these records, know something about an artist, dispute our version of events, or have uncovered information we’ve somehow missed, leave your evidence in the comments. Particularly interesting correspondence may find its way into the Archive itself.

New discoveries will be added as and when we find them.

Welcome to the Archive.
