Hudson Valley Live Presents / The Local Saugerties

The Local Saugerties is a project of Hudson Valley Live Presents, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Saugerties, New York. The venue is housed in a former Dutch chapel built in the 1870s which has been lovingly restored and opened as a space for arts, culture, and community in 2023 under the guidance of Isabel Soffer and Danny Melnick. The two Saugerties-based music producers and performing-arts professionals have each devoted more than 30 years to producing festivals, concerts, and curated arts experiences.

Besides its own world class series of over 60 music and dance events annually The Local runs a residency program for arts professionals and artists in Woodstock NY with Silver Sun.

The Local is located in the heart of the Village of Saugerties at 16 John St. The ADA accessible space is available to rent for parties, concerts, film and photography shoots, pop-ups and more.
