BIOGRAPHY
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Lenny Solomon began his performing career in the late 1960s. A fixture at the Idler Coffeehouse in Harvard Square, Cambridge, he regularly performed there for over eight years. The Idler was a training ground for songwriters including Geoff Bartley, Paul Rishell, John Koerner, Bob McCarthy, and Ric Ocasek. During these years he shared bills with touring performers such as Chris Smither, Carolyn Hester, Bonnie Raitt, and Spider John. In the 80's and 90's Solomon continued to write, but rarely performed in public while he raised his family and worked in environmental research at Harvard. In 1999 he formed a band soon released five albums of original songs that combined elements of folk, country, and blues. In the process he won a dozen songwriting awards.
