The Kid In The Wheelchair

The world makes surface level assumptions about people with disabilities. But there’s so more to the story. My name is Jon Gilroy, but you might know me as the kid in the wheelchair, because I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 18 months old. I am going to share with you my experience in the healthcare system, growing up different, and what it's like living life on wheels. Alongside some of the people that have had an impact on my world as well as the world of disability, I’m having those difficult  and sometimes ridiculous conversations that reframe the way we think about disability.
