The Jimmy Webb Suite for Banjo

I've decided to dedicate a new channel as a practice log for the Jimmy Webb Suite for 5 String Banjo, my ultimate project. These are full versions of four songs, Wichita Lineman, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, The Highwayman, and MacArthur Park, adapted for 5 string banjo. 

I use a chordal style that integrates the melody with chordal accompaniment. But I don't mean strumming, it's a fingerpicking style. The idea is to maintain the pulse of a band accompaniment and also feature the melody over the top. I've done jazz standards in this style but the Jimmy Webb tunes are the most memorable and I want to do this for myself and as a tribute to the greatest songwriter ever.

These videos are rehearsal takes, as I'm still ironing out the bugs and working on my memorization. There's a lot to play going straight through and I will probably never be able to do it without mistakes. What I do hope for is that I will always play it with heart.
