Independent Podcast Awards

Welcome to the Independent Podcast Awards channel. Here you’ll find content from previous events, such as the interviews with our super talented winners.

The awards were co-founded by Verbal Diorama and whynow in 2023 to recognise the grassroots indie talent in the UK and Ireland that wasn’t getting the recognition it deserved elsewhere. Since then the awards have attracted around 2000 entries, shortlisted 600+ podcasts, and celebrated 75 winners. The class of ‘26 winners will be announced on Wednesday 4th November in London, and will add a further 29 podcasts to that tally.

Take a look at the winners, and explore the nominees on our website. You never know, you might just find your new favourite podcast amongst them.
