The Incident on the Appalachian Trail - 2023

Ooh, that Channel Name sounds ominous, doesn't it? The real story is a little less scary:  "The Incident" is the trail name I was given on a previous thru hike, and I'll be thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2023. 

I'll be hiking northbound from Springer to Katahdin, but it won't be a typical thru hike. I'll be living the Vanlife along the way with my lovely wife of 40 years, a.k.a., "Mrs. The Incident" or "Princess Beastmode" - her past not-so-favorite trail names. She's hoping the AT provides a new one in 2023. We'll also be bringing our two golden doodles, Gus and Roux (actual names...they barely come for those names & would be even more confused by getting their own trail names).  Mrs. The Incident will be meeting me at trailheads, providing a little trail magic, talking to hikers, writing, taking amazing pictures, and doing her own kinds of exploring.
