The Grave Guy™

History never stays buried. Dead ends. Silenced stories. Forgotten graves. When the paper trail goes cold, I step in.

I’m Rusty Groves, Historical Investigator & Professional Genealogist at Buckeye Genealogy & Research, LLC, based in Clinton County, Ohio. This channel is the field record of the work: cemetery surveys, courthouse and archive visits, grave marker cleaning and recovery, and the evidence behind each story. I work with families, historical organizations, and governmental bodies across the United States, with most fieldwork in Ohio and the surrounding region.

In my line of work, we don’t guess. We prove. I apply the Genealogical Proof Standard to all research claims, and every record shown here is cited.

Have a family mystery that’s gone cold? It starts with The Grave Survey, a free intake form, then a complimentary 20-minute Case Strategy Briefing: https://thegraveguy.com/grave-survey
