The FUNemployed Family

We’re Ben, Kelly, Liesel and Mason and we’re The FUNemployed Family!  4 years ago Kelly and I were unfulfilled with our corporate careers & stressful lives. We knew there was more to life than plodding through each day praying for the weekend. We were also missing out on so much of Liesel’s childhood. So, we quit our jobs, sold our home and used some savings to full time travel to 25 countries over the next year.

Through that journey we realized how mentally unhealthy our old lifestyle was for us as a family. We needed to find a way to live more flexibly. Over the course of the last 3 years we’ve carved out remote work opportunities in financial consulting, photography & content creation on social media and invested in rental properties that fund part of our travels. We welcomed Mason to the fam in 2020 and we’re full steam ahead on this digital nomad full-time-travel-family lifestyle.  We're based in South Lake Tahoe, California when not traveling.
