The Days Away

The Days Away is a Spanish/English Indie Rock band from Chicago. With a mix of Puerto Rican & Ecuadorian blood, and a deep influence from bands like The Cure, Joy Division, & Los Caifanes, the band has given birth to a rhythmic melancholy sound with a driving pulse. 

It’s a family thing: The Days Away features Danny Maldonado on vocals and guitar, his sister, Joanna Maymó, on bass, and their cousin, Justin German, on lead guitar. After a long journey, they are making their way back to the Chicago scene, sharing stories through a blend of nostalgic melodies and hopeless romantic lyrics.
