Welcome to The Composing Cook.

I have always had a real passion for home cooking, & having been a keen singer/songwriter from an early age, I came to the realisation that both are a form of composition.

With music, you put the right instruments & vocals together, you end up with a great song.  With cooking, you put the right ingredients together, you have created an amazing dish.  

I want to keep it entertaining & show you recipes that can be cooked any day of the week, using ingredients that can be sourced locally.  I want you to take my recipes, & make them your own.   We all have different tastes so flexibility with ingredients is key.  

Cooking and being creative in the kitchen is great for mindfulness.  It gives me amazing results quickly so not only does it cheer me up, it fills me up.

You may notice that the music used throughout  my videos are all original compositions, & it gives me great pleasure to be able to combine two of my biggest passions on one platform.
