The Canal Boat Family

We're Doug, Chrissy & Sage! Living full time on our 60ft traditional narrowboat, continuous cruising the canals of the UK. 
A young family swapping out expensive rented brick & mortar, for a life on the water! 

We have lived in rented accommodation in London and Brighton for nearly 14 years, and even though 6 years ago we started our own business we still cannot afford to get on the property ladder. 

Making some big decisions we decided to buy our first narrowboat (its a project boat) and move onto the water - with ZERO experience! Transitioning to life on the water with a toddler wasn't smooth sailing but we are learning fast!

So hi, we are sharing family life on a 1.8m wide narrowboat - the good, the bad & the I have no idea's. With off-grid, seasonal + slow living at the heart. 

We hope our channel may inspire you to dip your toe into something new.
