The COMPASSion Project

The Compassion Project is a part of COMPASS: Coaching or Mentoring for Providers Affected by Stress And Strain, though anyone can benefit from our Compassion chats. Join Michon Garemani, CHP and Danielle Lord, PhD as we discuss ways to help our clinicians and caregivers navigate the complexity of their work.

Clinicians: the many professionals in the healthcare field who experience trauma regularly. Whether its a life changing accident, extreme abuse, a needle stick, or violence our healthcare team members experience trauma regularly, and often have limited ways of recovery.

Caregivers: the millions of people caring for family members, also experiencing trauma, but without the healthcare education to understand the many nuances of caregiving.

Both parties need access to care, support, and compassion to help them recover from the emotional, mental, and sometimes physical trauma associated with care and recover from compassion fatigue.
