The Art Shouse | Building Our Tropical Studio

Welcome to The Art Shouse! We’re an artist couple building a tropical backyard workspace near the beach in Port Douglas, Far North Queensland.
Because a normal 9-to-5 job was never an option due to her Rheumatoid Arthritis, Cheryl built a successful career as a fine artist—adapting her creative process to work alongside the illness.
Now, we are executing a major business pivot. Traditional digital spaces were great for getting our art out into the world early on, but the world and our work has evolved. We’ve designed independent spaces from scratch to transition toward a sustainable, high-end model that protects our longevity.
The stakes are high: we are racing to prepare these studios to host intimate, direct-to-collector experiences where guests can connect with our art and lifestyle firsthand.
When the tools are down, we'll take you inside the creative mess of making our art and share local lifestyle vlogs.
New videos Sundays... when the weather and our bodies play nice!
