The 14th Amendment Center for Law &amp; Democracy was established at Howard University School of Law by Sherrilyn Ifill, one of America’s leading civil rights lawyers and scholars, to reclaim the 14th Amendment’s vital role in our democracy.
At a time when core institutions face threats not seen since Reconstruction, our Center serves as a multi-disciplinary hub for research, public education, and collaboration across generations. By bringing together scholars, advocates, artists, and students, we aim to inspire a shared commitment to equality, citizenship, and justice.
