ThPA S.A. – Port of Thessaloniki participates in the Internet of Containers - IoC project, in collaboration with the Department of Supply Chain Management of the International Hellenic University. The project focuses on the implementation of “smart” containers at the Port of Thessaloniki, aiming to enhance the port’s digital transformation and improve container traceability, safety and operational efficiency. Through the IoC platform, containers can be monitored from their entry into the port area to their final delivery, while also supporting the digital recording of container inspection results. The action “Cooperation and networking actions between research organizations, educational institutions and businesses in priority areas of the Strategic Smart Specialization Plan of the Region” is funded by the European Regional Development Fund - ERDF, within the framework of the Operational Program “Central Macedonia” 2014-2020
