Restoring ‘The Austie’, a historic Dutch dairy farm.

Hello and welcome! We’re Richard and Rachel, Dutch Olympic triathletes and proud new owners of ‘The Austie’.

 In 2024 we started the journey of restoring this incredible historic farm, which was originally built in the early 1600s. We are situated in the beautiful ‘Twente region’, just north of Enschede in the east of the Netherlands.

Through this channel, we’ll be sharing every step of our restoration project as we transform the farm into a unique sports and training farm. 

Our goal is to create a place where everyone is welcome, whether you stay in one of our cozy apartments, explore the countryside by bike or on foot, or take advantage of our sports facilities.

This project is a long and ambitious one, but we couldn’t be more excited to bring this historical monument back to life and share our journey with you!
