Stitchery by the Shore

Rather late in life after raising 4 children and a 35 year career in nursing, I discovered a passion for designing and stitching hand embroidery pieces. My daughter gifted me the book, "Your Blue Flame" by Jen Fulwiler  - it was quite life changing. In it, she encourages the reader to pay attention to the things that light you up, that give you energy, that you get lost doing. Stitching filled each of these for me. I hope to share this joy and discover other kindred spirits who also find that this lovely craft nourishes the creative spirit within. 

Decorating my home for the holidays has been a source of joy for me, and most of the pieces I create are seasonally inspired & intended for use as accents in the home. After years of searching I found a lovely, substantial, quality linen to print the embroidery designs on, that enables you to frame your finished piece quite easily. You get to spend time doing something you enjoy, and create something lovely for your home in the process.
