Starlight Tattoo Studio in Auckland

Hi, I’m Buzzy - tattooist, artist, and owner of Starlight Tattoo. I grew up around tattoo machines and sketchbooks: my mum, Monique, and her partner, Steve, were tattooists, and Mum ran the Frankfurt International Tattoo Convention. I see tattooing as alchemy - turning stories, memories, and intentions into living art. After school, I tattooed in Germany, then from 1998 onward in Auckland at Monique’s Euro Tattoo. In 2014, I opened Starlight Tattoo, and I’m now tattooing by the wild Muriwai coast. I work across many styles - black & grey realism, colour, Japanese, fine line, ornamental, watercolour, geometric, and more. I’m devoted to cover-ups and tattoo repairs, and to custom pieces that feel meaningful and personal. If you want work with heart, symbolism, and craft, let’s create something just for you.
