I used to think the world was beautiful, and filled with opportunity. A canvas of creation we could weave to create pure, uncut kino. Not anymore. I see through new eyes, cold, jaded eyes. The world was never a canvas but a cage. It deceives you, makes you think you can go out and make dreams a reality. Then it puts a pebble in your path, you stumble, but think nothing of it. As you continue, it throws a stone in your path, you trip, but catch yourself. Most people never notice the gradual build-up of opposing "gifts". They walk through a minefield, unaware of the situation. Every so often, they hit one, a calamity occurs, but they overlook the source, think they can pick themselves back up and keep going, keep struggling, and the suffering will bring reward. It never does. The mines increase, the wear and tear builds, and eventually, you crumble under your own cumbersome weight, brought down to your knees, your new forlorn home, and so the kino was gone forevermore.
