Shades and Degrees

"Shades and Degrees" is the inspiration of Canadian songwriters, Randy Zahara and Jim Shaw.  

Zahara is largely influenced by his empathy for all life, as well as his past experiences and relationships, but he also  believes that much of the inspiration for his lyric writing is derived from a connection to a creative conscious energy that is communicating with them by way of a form of "Spooky action at a distance".   In this way a consciousness that exists in a parallel dimension, or alternate universe or even a distant galaxy or solar system, would be able to share their intelligence with a compatible entity existing on our planet.  
Shaw is less certain about the spooky-action link and believes the inspiration behind his musical compositions are more likely attributable to combination of personal experiences, a sovereignty of the heart, a long life, a spiritual connection to John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and an occasional collaboration with John Paul Wiser and Alexander Keith.
