Second Chorus Jazz — Classic Songs, New Choruses

Second Chorus Jazz is a space for reflective jazz guitar improvisation, memory, and quiet conversation through music.

After a lifetime spent in medicine, leadership, responsibility, and routine, this channel represents a return to something that was always waiting underneath: music, reflection, creativity, and the freedom to improvise again.

Inspired by jazz standards, cinematic atmosphere, and the emotional honesty of late-night playing, these performances explore longing, grace, regret, gratitude, hope, and rediscovery.

If you love:
• jazz guitar
• reflective improvisation

Performed by Paul K. Shitabata, M.D.

Guitars, amplifiers, recording details, and musical reflections are included in each video description.

Because sometimes the second chorus says more than the first.
