Sean Feit Oakes | Buddhist Teachings + Exploration

Guided meditations, dharma talks, and Buddhist teachings for experienced practitioners and beginners alike. Sean Feit Oakes, PhD (he/him, queer, Puerto Rican-English on Coast Miwok ancestral land in California), teaches Buddhism and somatic practice focusing on the integration of meditation, trauma resolution, and social justice. He received teaching authorization from Jack Kornfield, and wrote his dissertation on extraordinary states in Buddhist meditation and experimental dance. He teaches at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, East Bay Meditation Center, Insight Timer, and elsewhere. 

His students appreciate his warm and relevant application of foundational Buddhist wisdom to the simultaneous quotidian and novel nature of everyday living, acknowledging current events and the social moment we occupy. His approach is community focused and inclusive.
