Savy Hester | Autism Map Maker

I'm Savy Hester, founding Director of Autism Map Maker, a Deaf Autism Resource Center in southern Oklahoma. We are raising to reopen the Bridge School: a year-round, ASL-only, voice-off school for Deaf Autistic students. Families never pay. It opens once the launch and three desks are funded.

I'm late-life Hard of Hearing. We cover how language access and neurodivergence shape the way a child builds language and foundations. My journey with Deaf Autism began 16 years ago with my Deaf, Autistic brother and continues with our center.

SimCom is my preferred method: my hands, my voice, my choice. Keep what helps, leave what doesn't.
