Sampson Expedition: Built for the Journey

Sampson Expedition: Built for the Journey is where DIY van life meets real family adventure on a tight budget. We’re the Sampsons—a family of 7—and we’re converting a 2008 Sprinter 170 cargo van into a road-ready rig—no boutique “show build,” just upgrades that hold up. This channel is built around real life: faith, kids, work, and building something useful without going broke.

Expect step-by-step build tutorials, budget tips, mistakes to avoid, real-world testing, camping setups, and gear reviews (power, storage, tools). It’s clean, family-friendly content—mostly me, with appearances from my wife, our youngest two boys, and our daughter. Based in AL, we travel all over the Southeast and back through the Midwest where I grew up and we have ties. Some weekends include visiting different churches along the way.
