Eyes to the Horizon
In hearts that know the weight of weary days,
Where sunlight filters through a dusty haze,
Young eyes still lift, a hopeful, steady gaze,
Across the miles, through freedom's winding ways.
No playground swings beneath a watchful sky,
But dreams take flight where silent longings lie.
For fields unscarred, where laughter will not die,
And songs of peace on gentle breezes fly.
Though shadows cling and memories may sting,
A resilient spirit makes their young hearts sing.
Of open gates and joy that life will bring,
When freedom's dawn its golden light will fling.
They hold within a vision, pure and bright,
Of futures built on justice, truth, and right.
And in their dreams, they step into the light,
Palestinian children, yearning for what's right.
