Braceborough SPA, rising in the grounds of SPA House, was used as a bath-house from at least the early days of the nineteenth century until the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939. The waters have a high concentration of calcium carbonate. SPA house was built in 1841 although there was an earlier cottage on the site which is still in the grounds and maintained.
